Zoo Memphis

Zoo Memphis, formerly known as the Memphis Zoo, is a popular tourist attraction located in Memphis, Tennessee. Founded in 1906, it is one of the oldest and largest zoos in the United States, covering over 70 acres and featuring more than 3,500 animals representing over 500 species. The zoo is known for its conservation efforts and is home to a number of endangered and threatened species, including giant pandas, African elephants, and Siberian tigers. Additionally, it is famous for its unique exhibits, such as the Teton Trek exhibit, which features grizzly bears, elk, and gray wolves in a habitat modeled after Yellowstone National Park. Visitors can also enjoy the zoo's many amenities, including a children's petting zoo, a playground, and a water park.
