MacDill Air Force Base

MacDill Air Force Base is a United States Air Force base located on the southern tip of the Tampa Peninsula. It was established in 1939 and has since played an important role in the country's military operations. The base serves as the headquarters for the United States Central Command and the United States Special Operations Command. It is also home to several aircraft, including KC-135 Stratotankers, C-37A Gulfstreams, and C-17 Globemaster IIIs. While MacDill Air Force Base is not open to the public, visitors can still catch a glimpse of some of the base's aircraft during the annual MacDill AirFest, which features aerial displays and demonstrations.
